Concert of a new work by Paul Marquardt for Saxophone and live electronic sound featuring saxophonist Michael Bovenzi.
Location: The Unitarian-Universalist Church of Jacksonville (http://www.uujax.org), 7405 Arlington Expressway, Jacksonville, FL 32211
Date: Sunday, April 9th
Time: 10:45 AM
There will be a performance of a new work for Saxophone and live electronic sound. The electronics will be performed live using SuperCollider. The concert will also feature my composition "Quatrain" for saxophone and piano. This electronic portion of the concert will be at 10:45 AM. The saxophone and piano work will be played in the middle of the service. The Unitarian-Universalist Church welcomes people from all walks of life to attend their services. Michael Bovenzi is on the faculty of the University of North Florida.

   one of the requirements for my joining a church is that they would program live electronic music ;^)

actually i belong to a smaller UU group in the area and did my first ever live SC performance there last year.
